Final Blog Post

  When I was in the seat that you were currently in, I came to this class with a company. Relative to my peers, I had been experiencing the real world for two years already. I conducted business, worked with people and made projects with ridiculous deadlines. Now I am expanding my company to become a fully functioning organization. I felt like I would not be able to relate with a class ment for graduating seniors, as I was already within the world they look forward too. However, as the class continued, I was still able to find engagement with the course and take appreciation in the effort that Dr. Wilkes takes to get students ready for what challenges the real world has to offer. Final Topic Presentations

For a long time in my life I have not known what an entrepreneur was. If you asked me as a kid how businesses were created or who even runs a business, I would not be able to answer any further than a boss. I truly believe that one of the greatest failures of my education was not learning about finance and the economic world. Personally as a computer science student, I felt as though I was taught how to be a worker rather than an innovator. I learned how to do xyz but not how to change the world with xyz. That was until I visited the center for entrepreneurship. There I learned that there was more to life than just getting a 9 to 5 job. With guidance, I saw entrepreneurs who are innovating and making a difference where it matters. That eventually led to me becoming one and creating a company centered around my goals.
